Glyph transmits nothing. It has no server, no accounts, no ads. All font inspection happens locally on the page you activate it on, and the overlay is removed the moment you press Esc or toggle it off. The only thing Glyph stores is the font library you build yourself with the ★ Save button — it stays in your own browser.
Glyph does not collect or transmit any personal data, browsing data or usage data. It has no
analytics inside the extension and sets no cookies. Fonts you save to your library are kept
locally through the browser's own extension storage (chrome.storage.local): each entry
holds the font name and its properties, where the font comes from (with the link to its specimen
or file) and the host name of the site you saved it on, so you can recognise the find later. It
holds no page content, no URLs you visited and nothing you typed, it never leaves your device, and
it is deleted when you remove the extension. If a future version adds optional
anonymous usage statistics, this policy and the Chrome Web Store data disclosure will be
updated first.
activeTab — grants access to the current tab only when you click the Glyph icon, so the inspector can read the fonts of the page you are viewing.scripting — injects the inspector overlay into that tab, only after your click.storage — keeps your own font library in the browser, on your device only.Glyph requests no broad host access (<all_urls>), runs nothing in the background,
